Yet when she tries to get Kirk to fall for Valerie at that same time, trouble brews. Meanwhile, Zelda is in deep trouble when Hilda forgets to mail her postponement letter for Witches Council Duty. Upset that Mr. Kraft has given her detention, Sabrina asks her Aunt Hilda to go on a date with him. However, Hilda refuses, so Sabrina casts a spell on her, turning her into a dummy. Whatever Sabrina says, the dummy mimics, so she must follow the pair on their date. But when Valerie shows up at the same restaurant that Hilda and Mr. Kraft are having their date, Sabrina forgets her role as the dummy master and begins to have a conversation with Valerie, resulting in Hilda saying some unusual things. However, the plan doesn’t completely fall apart until Mr. Kraft’s kiss breaks the spell and Hilda runs out. In trouble, Hilda takes Sabrina to Zelda, who is serving Witches Council Duty, and she must wrestle conscience (literally). Sabrina claims that her spell was totally selfless, as she only wanted to spare Harvey from Mr. Kraft’s wrath. Zelda informs Sabrina that if she is telling the truth – that she turned Hilda into a dummy for only selfless reasons – she will be able to stay inside the Ring of Truth. When Sabrina and Harvey are forced to date other people, she reluctantly agrees to go out with Dante, a witch who lives in the other Realm. After finding out that Harvey is going out on a date with another girl, Sabrina finds a way to take Dante out on a double date with Harvey and Jean. However, because of how her date can’t stand mortals, Harvey is on the receiving end of Dante’s practical joke magic while at the bowling alley. After agreeing to baby sit Amanda, Sabrina gets excited at the thought of being paid $100 to keep her eye on her incorrigible cousin. However, Sabrina soon realizes that Amanda is more than she can handle when she gets turned into a doll and put in her cousin’s toy box; where she meets the other people that made Amanda mad. During this time, Sabrina’s Quizmaster shows up to tell her that her assignment is to get everybody out of the toy box. Annoyed at how little help he’s been during her confinement, Sabrina is able to get Amanda to reverse her spell and pass her test. After hearing Libby is having a big Halloween bash at her house and only the popular kids are invited, Valerie decides to throw her own party at Sabrina’s, saying that it will be bigger and better than Libby’s. When Sabrina learns of the party from Harvey, she is reluctant to go along with Valerie’s plan, especially after Hilda and Zelda buy talking furniture in the Other Realm. Sabrina tries to entertain Harvey and Valerie, but the pair begin to become concerned. Knowing that Valerie and Harvey cannot stay at the Spellman’s for an undisclosed amount of time, Sabrina invites the feuding cousins to lunch, in hopes to work everything out. Unfortunately, when Sabrina reveals her secret to them, she is unaware Libby also heard it and decided to spill the beans to the PTA and media. After spending the day together in the Other Realm, where Valerie gets to dance with Drew Carey and Harvey meets Mark Langston, Sabrina has to face Libby’s charges of witchcraft. Thanks to Valerie and Harvey not remembering the day’s events upon their arrival back at the Spellman home, Libby promptly begins looking like a lair, starved for any attention she could get. It’s Friday the 13th, which Sabrina learns is the day witches can tell mortals the truth about themselves because their knowledge of the secret will be erased the next day.
